Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

                  The objective of this thesis were 1) to study the learning management on the subject of Buddhism, 2) to study the learning activities based on Tri-Sikkha principles for developing the virtue and ethics of the students and in which affecting to the changing behavior of the students, 3) to study the results of the learning management on the subject of Buddhism based on Tri-Sikkha principles at Bansangpaendonnapaeng School. This research was conducted based on Qualitative research methodology and Field work study. 

                        The result of study found that the learning management on the subject of Buddhism in each class had clearly fixed the curriculum and lesson units according to the learning standards, indicator, and significant learning area, including integrating ethics and morality on subject of Buddhism to other subjects appropriately. Thus, the school organized all learning and teaching activities to the students based on Tri-Sikkha principles by integrating to other subjects focusing on practical approach, ethical value, and virtue of the students. The main purpose of the learning was to develop both the intellectual knowledge and ethical values for the total quality of lives of the students.

                        The organizing of the ethical and virtues training for the students was to forester proper conducts and the right ways of living to the students. This also was a good example to the students and that of the community. It helped in tiding up the mutual relationship between schools and the community. With this approach, the schools could successfully organize the ethical trainings to the students lying on the vein of curriculum objectives.

                        From the result of analyzing the ethical training activities of the students, the study found that, at the whole picture, the administrator, teacher, committee of the educational institution, and parents at Bansangpaendonnapaeng School were very concerned about organizing the ethical training activities in accorded with lesson units, the score for the attendants, including the integration of ethical principles to all subjects. Therefore, the school could effectively organize all learning and teaching activities to the students based on Tri-Sikkha principles by integrating to other subjects. And, from the study found that this practice helped the learning on the subject of Buddhism resulted in progressive development.

                        Last but not least, this study also found that, from this approach, it affected a lot to the changing behavior of the students. They became active, interested in study, be punctual, have responsibility, be content, be honest, discipline, and could adapted themselves very well to the different situation in the busy society. Moreover, they likely to help the others with sincere heart without personal gains, and were ready to dedicate themselves for the benefits of the society.
